Quarry House Shepherd's Retreat
Shepherd's Huts were originally used by shepherds in England and Wales, originating it would seem, in Yorkshire. They would be lived in during lambing season, allowing shepherds to be close to and keep a watchful eye over their flocks.
Introduction to the area.
We are situated in the Yorkshire Dales on the outskirts of the pretty village of Grewelthorpe which is approximately 3 miles south of Masham and approximately 6 miles north of Ripon
It is also part of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are numerous local attractions within easy reach, some of which are on our Out & About page.
Surrounded by open fields and in a truly rural setting our shepherds hut offers a unique, holiday and is the perfect place for keen walkers or cyclists.

Our traditional shepherd's hut offers a comfortable stay in a traditional style, protecting you from the elements.
